Internet Safety Presentation
January 22 @ 6:00 am - 7:30 pmFree
Learn the risks children face when using the internet
Keeping up with the latest apps and websites and teaching kids how to stay safe online and in the real world is a daunting task. Unfortunately, the most dangerous environment kids are in, is the one right on the computers and phones in their own home. We must do more to keep children our safe.
The LVES PTO has invited the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to provide a presentation for parents, educators, and any professionals working with children to attend this event. We will discuss the apps and websites kids are using, how to identify warning signs of kids engaged in risky behaviors online, and how to discuss appropriate online behavior with kids. Topics include cyberbullying, sexting, sharing too much information online, online privacy, and abduction prevention.
Due to the sensitive nature of this presentation, children of any age are not permitted to attend. Free childcare for attendees will be provided in the LVES gym by the Lago Vista Academy.
